This week, CELF kicked off our summer programming with the first session of Education for Sustainability Institute: Reflecting on What Matters! K-12 educators from all over the country — including New York, Houston, Los Angeles, and more – came together as a virtual community to discover how sustainability can be applied as a critical lens for learning in any and all classroom settings. The CELF team was incredibly pleased with the high level of engagement and the high quality of work produced by all participants throughout the 3-day, 7.5-hour Institute.
It’s not too late to sign up for an upcoming Institute! EfS Session 2 is taking place July 13-15, and the Civic Science: Inquiry to Action Institute is taking place July 27-29 and August 3-5. Visit our Summer Institute page to register and learn more!

Check out the video below that highlights an activity from Day 1 of this week’s EfS session in which participants were asked to choose photos that represented a personal connection they had to one or more of CELF’s Big Ideas of Sustainability.
